Doctoral studies at our group enable graduates of science and technology programmes to further their careers and gain skills valued on the job market. Pursuing a PhD at the AGH Environmental Physics Group involves regular active participation in scientific conferences and publication of research results in academic journals.

A doctorate in environmental physics opens perspectives for scientific career, while our PhD graduates land jobs both in the academic sector (e.g., postdocs at foreign universities), in the hydrometeorological services (e.g., at the Polish Institute of Meteorology and Water Management), as well as in the private sector, leveraging the transversal analytic, laboratory, programming, organisational and presentation skills gained during the PhD studies.
Our doctoral students take part in research projects carried out in the group, including in collaborative projects with international partners. There are NCN PRELUDIUM grant winners among our team, who received independent research funds for realising their PhD projects.
The topics of doctoral projects offered at our group are presented at the AGH Doctoral School website, where you can also find up-to-date information on the doctoral scholarship. Recruitment takes place every year during the summer months. AGH PhD students have the opportunity to engage in teaching activities as part of additional remuneration.
